
Cooking class, a distinctive labor education and life education course in our school, is a compulsory course for every student. Under the guidance of Mr. Chen Jinhong, a national second-level technician and a full-time cooking teacher, junior students start from knowing the kitchen, then learn four techniques and five dishes, and master some cooking skills in practice. The courses for the second, third junior students and senior students are more colourful, including designing dishes, purchasing ingredients, and completing cooking independently. In addition to classroom practice, the students also cook a special dish for their parents when they go home on weekends, which is intended to guide students to inherit the Chinese culture of filial piety by means of these courses. Parents are generally moved to tears!
